Does Ozone Therapy Actually Work

Arthritic hip pain can be treated with Ozone therapy

Healthy cells thrive in oxygen whereas unhealthy cells cannot so an oxygen rich environment is an effective treatment

ozone therapy

During the 19th century, a form of oxygen called ozone was discovered and was used to treat wounds during World War I. Finding equipment that would be a reliable way to deliver a pure mixture of oxygen and ozone proved tough but was finally available during the late 1950s. When it is mixed with medical grade oxygen in a controlled environment it shows fungicidal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial actions which makes this ozone therapy ideal for treating spinal and arthritis hip pain, as well as being used as supplemental treatment in both humans and animals.

Diseasae causing bacteria cannot thrive in oxygen

Unlike the healthy cells that thrive in oxygen, disease causing bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi, including some Cancer and HIV microbes are mostly anaerobic; meaning that those microbes will not be able to survive in the oxygen. The objective is to completely surround them with pure oxygen in some form for an extended period of time.

Many believe that this special mixture of oxygen and ozone is beneficial when administered slowly into the body on a daily basis over several months; bypassing the lungs but eventually saturating every cell and bodily fluid with it. They claim that microbes caused by disease will not be able to survive in the oxygen and will no longer exist, thus ridding the body of disease. Many also suggest adding some type of steam bath or Finnish sauna sessions to your fitness regiment will help to remove toxins from the body.

Researchers tell us that ozone therapy, along with many other oxygen therapies, work by burning up pollution, microbes and waste products in the body. They accomplish this by flooding the body with single atoms of oxygen that naturally oxidize away the harmful microbes and toxins.

The purification of water is the major use of ozone commercially today

Both the EPA and FDA certify that ozone destroys 99.9% of the pathogenic germs, while at the same time oxidize 99.9% of the pollutants that reside in water. As previously indicated, releasing oxygen into the blood stream is the primary way that ozone works and it is believed that a steam shower or a steam sauna helps the process by allowing the body to sweat out additional impurities.

Circulatory disease causes clumping of red blood cells, which impedes the blood flow through the capillaries and the oxygen absorption is reduced due to a smaller surface area. A fitness sauna program along with ozone therapy enhances circulation by reducing or even eliminating the clumping and helps to restore the red cell flexibility, as well as improving the ability to carry oxygen. The plaque in the arteries is oxidized with this therapy allowing for the removal of breakdown products as it unclogs the blood vessels.

Mesothelioma Prognosis – Why Do Some Patients Survive Longer

Upon his diagnosis, Kraus changed his diet (he’s now a vegetarian), added many vitamins and supplements to his daily routine, began “juicing,” and tried a treatment known as ozone therapy. Kraus explains, “They took blood out of a vein, … Today, tests show he still has the disease and his body is a bit weaker than it was, but he has no pain and his doctors tell him he has many more years to live.

Ozone May Help Herniated Disc Pain

Its supporters say ozone therapy could become a standard treatment for the condition within the next five years in the United States, but a back pain specialist who spoke to WebMD remains unconvinced.
